Description

Tropicoir Professional-Grade Coconut Coir Substrate

Tropicoir is a high-performance, horticultural-grade growing substrate manufactured from carefully processed coconut coir. Supplied in densely compressed bales, it provides a cost-efficient and logistically optimized solution for commercial cultivation, large-scale mixing facilities, and hydroponic operations.

Designed for precision growing environments, Tropicoir delivers exceptional water-holding capacity, air-filled porosity, and stable structure to support enhanced root mass development and consistent nutrient uptake across crop cycles. Its uniform particle size distribution and low electrical conductivity (EC) ensure predictable moisture dynamics and compatibility with a wide range of fertigation programs.

Tropicoir is suitable for use as:

  • A primary substrate in hydroponic and soilless cultivation systems

  • A component in professional potting mix formulations

  • A soil conditioner for open-field horticulture

  • A medium for biofiltration

Technical Specifications:

  • Grades available: Pith, Chip, and Custom Blends

  • Compression ratio: 4:1 (expands on hydration)

  • Bale dimensions: 30 × 30 × 12–14 cm

  • Moisture content: ~20%

  • Reconstituted volume: 14–16 L/kg (grade-dependent)

  • pH range: 5.5–6.5 (naturally buffered)

  • EC: <0.6 mS/cm (after washing)

All Tropicoir substrates are produced from renewable coconut husks sourced from sustainably managed plantations. and screened optimal particle gradation, and consistency between shipments.

With its combination of structural stability, biological inertness, and outstanding physical properties, Tropicoir provides a reliable, high-yield substrate solution for commercial horticulture, hydroponics, and nursery production.
