Sharpen WDG
Description
Sharpen® Herbicide is a fast-acting, non-selective post-emergent for controlling tough broadleaf weeds prior to crop or forestry plantation establishment, in established citrus, pome, and almond orchards, and around fence lines and farm buildings. Offering an alternative mode of action to help manage resistance, Sharpen delivers rapid knockdown within 72 hours and controls up to 32 broadleaf species without requiring a tank-mix partner.
Sharpen works through membrane disruption, with rapid foliar uptake and visible desiccation within 4 days. It can be used as a stand alone or tank-mixed to give each spray an extra cutting edge and quickly knock down young problem weeds like fleabane and sowthistle. Sharpen is most effective on small, actively growing weeds, and does not control subsequent germinations.
Apply using a conventional boom sprayer with mechanical or bypass agitation in 80–250 L/ha of water, adjusting volume based on weed density and size. Sharpen is compatible with glyphosate, paraquat, and a wide range of herbicides, making it a valuable year-round tool to reinforce or replace glyphosate across diverse use patterns.
Key Features
- Rapid burndown within 72 hours of application helps conserve moisture.
- Control of 32 weeds standalone + 14 more in tank-mixes
- Robust performance on hard-to-control broadleaf weeds.
- The only Group 14 (formerly G ) product with systemic activity.
- Tank-mixes with glyphosate & paraquat boost their speed and spectrum of control.
- Reduces reliance on glyphosate, easing resistance pressure.
- Ideal for use in double-knock spray programs.
- Short plantbacks to key winter and summer rotational crops
