AMBUSH® EC Insecticide is effective against both chewing and sucking insects. It is a broad-spectrum synthetic pyrethroid (permethrin 500 g/L) formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate (EC), operating through both stomach action and contact.
Target Pest Types
-
Chewing insects: Includes pests like cutworms, caterpillars, loopers, flea beetles, and Colorado potato beetle—which feed on plant tissues by biting or chewin.
-
Sucking insects: Though its main strength is on chewing pests, some formulations like those used on tomatoes and peppers control whitefly, leafhopper, aphids, and thrips, which feed by piercing plant tissue and extracting sap.
Summary
AMBUSH EC is formulated for effective control of chewing pests—such as caterpillars and beetles—and also addresses sucking pests (e.g. whitefly, aphids, leafhoppers) on various crops. Always refer to the official product label and application guidelines for accurate pest and crop listings before use.
